Crews at Illingworth Fire Station will hold a charity car wash on Sunday 6 February, in order to raise money for Ash Green School Community Fund.

Money raised will be matched by Halifax Bank and Barclays Bank, which are both supporting the fundraiser.

Laura Boocock, Calderdale District Commander at West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said, “We want to support the school and the whole community and have been working closely with other agencies and organizations around the area since the fire on Tuesday evening."

Donations at the car wash

Laura Boocock adds, "We are hoping for a great turnout at our car wash on Sunday and thank all those who are helping to make the event happen.

Online donations to the fund have already surpassed £7,000.
