At 9:30 a.m. on January 26, 2024, the Idaho Falls & Bonneville County Emergency Communications Center received a report of a structure fire at Hobson’s Trailer Court, located off the 2900 block of the S Yellowstone Highway.

Idaho Falls Fire arrived within four minutes and found a trailer home with smoke and flames coming from the residence. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire by 9:41 a.m.

Sustained significant damage

The residence sustained significant damage and is considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation by Idaho Falls Fire Investigators. The homeowner was not home at the time of the fire. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians. Several personal pets died in the fire.

A total of seven fire apparatus responded including four engines, two ambulances, and one ladder truck. A battalion chief and two fire investigators responded as well. Idaho Falls Police Officers responded to assist with evacuating neighboring residences and traffic control. The Chaplains of Idaho responded to support first responders and residents.
