Pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Outram, European Fire Stopping Technology Manager as one of the new members of the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) Council. The announcement of the recent election happened last month at the ASFP Annual General Meeting held at Saddlers Hall, London.
Council members, elected each year, play a key role in providing inputs and guiding the strategic direction of the ASFP – a vital engagement at this moment in time as the Association is experiencing fast growth and new services have been launched.

Ian has an extensive knowledge of the passive fire protection industry with over 25 years’ experience in the Technical and R&D departments will now offer his valuable time in leveraging both the CPG Europe and Nullifire brands in engaging and participating in the ASFP council.
The Association for Specialist Fire Protection, with a presence in the UK and Ireland (ASFPI) is a trade association that was formed in 1975 and 2011, respectively, and is a pioneering authority on the importance, specification, procurement, and installation of Passive Fire Protection products.
ASFP Council strategy and structure
By bringing together and giving voice to manufacturers, contractors, distributors, and testing/certification bodies, it develops and gives guidance on essential standards in passive fire protection.
The ASFP is governed via a simple structure composed of an Executive Board - Chair, Vice Chair, CEO and Business Manager, who are responsible for the day-to-day management and operation and the Council. The ASFP Council sets strategy and structure and delegates management of the Association to the Executive Board.
