A Multisensor is simply a detector with more than one sensor in the detector. Multi-criteria is a function in a detector where decisions are made based on several conditions/criteria and various parameters.

Examples of multisensor detectors being installed in e.g. apartment buildings, where the optical element is occasionally switched off to prevent unwanted alarms. This is not per current regulations.

IQ8Quad detector series

The IQ8Quad detector series is a multisensor detector with a multi-criteria function, in other words, a unique detector where the processor processes the signals from the various sensors and evaluates these signals against programmed algorithms and criteria. All the detectors in the IQ8Quad series (apart from the standard optical) are then multi-criterion detectors.

IQ8Quad O²T multi- criterion detector has two optical chambers and a thermal element. More features in a compact unit provide a higher level of security, greater flexibility, and a more cost-effective installation. Why should one choose the advanced O²T detector?

  • Optimal detection even in environments with water vapor, dust, and food
  • Eliminates unwanted alarms
  • Prevents unnecessary and costly calls
  • Higher security
