The Brandon, S.D.-based manufacturer of custom fire trucks, aerials and rescue vehicles said that Hi-Tech will serve Central and Northern California as well as Northern Nevada from its Oakdale, Calif. headquarters. The company was founded in 1987 and has grown to be a respected regional manufacturer and service center for custom emergency-rescue vehicles.

"We welcome Hi-Tech EVS to the growing network of Crimson Fire dealers," said William F. Doebler, vice president of sales and marketing for Crimson. "We enjoy a strong presence in California, and we are certain that Hi-Tech will expand our reach and allow us to introduce Crimson to departments throughout this region.

"Hi-Tech enjoys an excellent reputation for both sales and service. We are very pleased that they have joined the Crimson team."

Hi-Tech will provide vehicles sales, bumper-to-tailboard vehicle repair service and parts sales for Crimson Fire. The company, which has 43 employees, also sells and services Hurst Rescue Tools. For the past 21 years, the company has designed and built 400+ custom pumpers, tenders and other fire apparatus for area fire departments.

"We feel this will be an excellent marriage," said Dan Marchione, president of Hi-Tech. "We have worked extensively with Crimson's parent company, Spartan Motors, for many years and are very impressed with the quality of their product and their customer service.

"Crimson Fire offers a complete line of vehicles that will be very attractive to departments in our region. We look forward to representing Crimson in Central and Northern California and Northern Nevada."
