At Hardstaff Barriers, their ‘For the Love of Lives’ ethos extends beyond the life-saving vehicle restraint and security systems that they manufacture and supply.

They value their own hard-working team, providing outstanding health, safety and wellbeing support, but they also go to great lengths to support and benefit people living in the communities that they work in. They’ve supported a number of charities and special causes to show how much they value all lives.

Road safety campaigns

Here are just some of those recent causes:

  • Lantern Lane Primary School, East Leake, Nottinghamshire – They loaned a number of barriers to the school, at no cost, to aid social distancing the playground.
  • Pelican Colts Under 13s Football Team, Nottinghamshire – They have sponsored the team for the last two years.
  • The Long Eaton School, Long Eaton, Derbyshire – They funded an online maths platform to assist pupils when learning at home during lockdown.
  • Penygarn Community Primary School, in Pontypool, South Wales and a school in Corby, in Northamptonshire – Along with other companies from VRS Solutions Group, they funded the planting of 380 new trees at the schools, and are due to plant another 120 soon, as part of their commitment to the offsetting of carbon emissions
  • The Andy Cox 200km Challange for Road Safety – They supported Detective Chief Superintendent Cox in his ambitious run across the UK during Global Road Safety Week
  • National Road Victim Month and Brake Road Safety Week – As the manufacturer and supplier of road safety barriers, they are committed to supporting road safety campaigns and initiatives
  • VPS UK and Evander – They provided sponsorship for a charity 360-mile cycle to raise money for the Samaritans and the companies’ internal mental health programs.

Dave Todd, Director of Hardstaff Barriers, said: “As a company, we are passionate about protecting and supporting people – not just road users and those who are barriers are designed to protect, but wider communities across the UK. It’s a pleasure to have been able to support so many people and we look forward to supporting many others in the future.”
