Leading European manufacturers head to Sydney, Australia, for the Asia Pacific’s largest emergency management conference and exhibition: this year’s AFAC17 powered by INTERSCHUTZ conference and exhibition, takes place at the new International Convention Centre Sydney on the 4-7 September 2017 and European suppliers to the emergency management sector will be out in force. Organisations from Germany, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom will be demonstrating their latest products within the INTERSCHUTZ trade exhibition. Exhibitors from fourteen countries will be represented in Sydney.

AFAC17

The event is a joint venture of AFAC, the Australian and New Zealand National Council for fire, emergency services and land management, and the organisers of the world famous INTERSCHUTZ exhibition, Deutsche Messe.

Organisations from Germany who will be exhibiting at AFAC17 include VTI Ventil Technik, who will be demonstrating their gas cylinder valves which are used in breathing protection equipment. Personal Protective Equipment specialist, ask?, will be demonstrating their range of high quality PPE gloves and protective clothing. Also exhibiting are BAUER KOMPRESSOREN, a subsidiary of BAUER GROUP Holding, they have been based in Sydney since 2010 and Mr Neno Padjen, General Manager of BAUER Australia, explains why Australia is attractive to German and European manufacturing organisations. “Australia is a great market for us as it has a broad selection of sectors that are relevant to our high-pressure equipment. For example, in the case of AFAC17, we provide breathing air equipment for fire and rescue, the military, and the resources sector. There is also strong demand for our industrial gases and compressed natural gas technology used in vehicle refuelling”. Mr Padjen continued, “we see great potential for future growth within these industries in Australia and as the only locally based high-pressure supply and packaging company within the region, we are in a very prominent position to support Australian industries into the future”.

Other notable European exhibitors include Cristanini from Italy, ALPEX Protection and Solvay from France, Estambril and Textil Santanderia from Spain, VSTEP from the Netherlands and CAPITA are amongst a large contingent from the United Kingdom.

Across four packed days, the conference will showcase the latest from national and international experts, the latest technology and equipment from over 160 exhibitors, with key conference themes including, urban operations and built environment, disaster resilience and lessons learned across the sector. Australasian and international keynote speakers during the exhibition include Bart van Leeuwen, Big Data Expert, Owner of netage.nl and Senior Firefighter, Netherlands, or Steve Vamos, Non-executive Director Telstra, former CEO Microsoft Australia and New Zealand, and ninemsn.
