G2 Fire Selects JZL Projects And Solutions To Deploy Automatic Fire Detection System At A Care Home For The Elderly

Everyone appreciates the importance of keeping the vulnerable safe, but when the local fire departments advise the need for automatic fire detection, as part of the firefighting and protection of a home for the aged, it can be another strain on an already stretched budget.

Due to the establishment being occupied by the elderly, early warning in the case of an emergency is vital to ensuring the residents have enough time to evacuate safely, so everyone appreciates why the fire department have requested it.

Understandably, in these difficult times, the home did not have budget available for such an unexpected expense, so Jean-Paul Germishuizen offered to provide the installation equipment at cost and not charge for his labor.

G2 Fire were touched by JP’s kindness and his worthy cause so we decided to do our bit to help out by donating detectors, sounders and callpoints. The building is now protected by a fully complaint 4 Zone GST Conventional system, complete with zone map and log book mounted next to the panel.

New fire alarm system for care home

JZL have completed the installation this week complete with hand-over to the staff, so they know how their new fire alarm system works and what to do in an emergency.

The residents can now sleep safely knowing they will get plenty of warning should there ever be a fire in their home.
