Richard Gamble-Frost, Director of G.F. Fire Solutions Ltd is professional, knowledgeable and very approachable
G.F. Fire Solutions is an approved independent fire risk assessor with the Institution of Fire Engineers

Following the recent spate of high profile fires, G.F. Fire Solutions Ltd, is asking small and medium-sized businesses in London and the south east to check that their business complies with Fire Safety legislation. Many companies are not aware of the risks to the business, whether or not a fire takes place.

Those companies which have not carried out a fire risk assessment and put appropriate precautionary measures in place are at risk of a substantial fine or even imprisonment. Furthermore, the insurers may not accept a claim if an adequate assessment has not been carried out. If a fire occurs the lack of assessment and fire safety precautions could claim lives. Adverse publicity is likely to follow any breach of the fire safety regulations.

It’s a simple task for a qualified fire risk assessor to carry out an assessment and this should be reviewed annually. Naturally, any recommendations need to be carried out within a given timeframe.

Approved fire risk assessor

G.F. Fire Solutions, of Carshalton in Surrey is an approved independent fire risk assessor with the Institution of Fire Engineers. A fire risk assessment normally takes a couple of hours on site, with a report subsequently written up for the business. As the company is independent of any subsequent fire equipment sales, it does not profit from implementing the recommendations. This means that businesses can rest assured that the recommendations made are actually needed to meet the legal requirements and keep the business and its employees safe.

Jason Trafford, the founder and Director of Trafford Enterprises, a specialist business networking consultancy said: “Richard Gamble-Frost, Director of G.F. Fire Solutions Ltd is professional, knowledgeable and very approachable. The assessment was followed with a comprehensive and easy-to-follow report, with clear instructions on areas for improvement.”

Richard Gamble-Frost of G.F. Fire Solutions said: “I set the business up two years ago to help small and medium sized businesses to comply with the latest fire safety legislation and to do this at an affordable price. Our prices start from £220 for a small company so this should be affordable for any business. It’s all about keeping property and people safe – without a thorough assessment the business and its employees’ livelihoods are at risk.”
