Ferrara Fire Apparatus manufactures a full line of fire and emergency vehicles.
The Caney Creek Fire Department in Grangerland, Texas, approximately an hour north of Houston, has just awarded a contract to Ferrara Fire Apparatus for four new vehicles. Caney Creek Fire Department is organized under Montgomery County Emergency Services District #9 and is a fairly new fire department. Formed in March of this year, it combined Grangerland and Bennette Fire Departments into a single entity.
Caney Creek will receive two Ferrara Intruder 2 custom pumpers, one Intruder 2 custom pumper-tanker, and one Intruder 2 heavy rescue vehicle. Like the other chassis offered by Ferrara, the Intruder 2 features a 3/16" thick marine grade aluminum cab. Bodies will feature Ferrara's heavy duty extruded aluminum construction. The trucks will replace ageing vehicles that were in service with the two prior fire departments.
Ferrara Fire Apparatus manufactures a full line of fire and emergency vehicles. In addition to the Intruder 2 custom fire chassis, Ferrara also offers the Inferno, Igniter and Ember custom chassis, pumpers and tankers, rear and mid-mount aerial ladders and platforms, rescue and incident command vehicles, Inundator foam pumpers and the Strong Arm fire rescue vehicle. Ferrara is a leading safety innovator in the industry, offering such items as On-Site Tilt Table Testing, Crash Tested Cabs and Bodies, Complete Airbag Protection, SmartWheel steering systems and the complete line of MVP trucks.
