With the news currently dominated by Coronavirus (COVID-19) Firetrace wanted to notify its customers that they are monitoring the situation and doing everything they can to reduce any risk. Firetrace will continue to check daily the guidance from the government and relevant public health authorities and be guided by that advice.

The well-being of the staff, customers is vital, please be advised that the Company has absence management procedures, sick leave and emergency dependants leave processes in place.

Reducing the risk of transmission

Please also remember that the Company has health, safety and hygiene rules along with procedures in place which they will continue to follow in the line with normal practice. If customers have any questions or concerns on infection control, then please contact Firetrace.

There is no requirement to close, but this will also be checked on a regular basis inline with government guidance. Their primary focus of business is on environmental, organizational and general hygiene measures to reduce the risk of transmission. However, they have cancelled all Firetrace training courses until further notice.

Firetrace staff has been notified to:

  • Wash hands in hot water and soap regularly.
  • Have their temperature checked and documented upon entering the workplace.
  • Use tissues when coughing and sneezing and dispose of these responsibly in the waste bins provided.
  • Advise Firetrace if they have travel plans outside the UK and/or to affected areas or have been in contact with people that have.
  • Should the virus spread more widely in the UK customers will be kept updated on actions taken to reduce risks of exposure in the work place.
