Firetrace Ltd announced that the company is operating business as usual, in spite of the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic. During these very uncertain times, the company added that they are still providing their services throughout UK and Ireland, while abiding to government guidelines on operations.
safety of staff and Customers
While continuing business as normal, the company reaffirmed that their main priority is the safety of suppliers, clients, customers and staff. In some cases, fire suppression is a mandatory piece of equipment for businesses and assets to operate so, due to the recent government guidance, Firetrace has implemented many procedures for employees to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Following are the measures that Firetrace Ltd has put in place to ensure safety of staff, customers, suppliers and clients -
- The company will adhere to the government guidelines regarding social distancing.
- Employees are mandated to wash hands upon arrival to work and regularly throughout the day. They are also implored to always wash hands before entering any communal area.
- Maximum of three permanent residents allowed in each office.
- Maximum of three persons in the canteen area at a time. Avoiding staff dwelling in the canteen and taking breaks in personal vehicles or at workstations whenever possible.
- Removal of individual waste and trash bins. Washing & drying personal cups & utensils for staff.
- To limit possible cross contamination, staff will be directed to use only their own working apparatus.
- Smoking and vaping is banned on office premises.
- All company vehicles will be restricted to one employee. This may mean two or more vans being sent on jobs where multiple engineers are required.
- The company will cease engineers’ overnight stays and revert to daily travelling for all jobs. The closest available engineer will be allocated where possible in a nearby location.
- Firetrace employees will cease work immediately if they believe the environment is un-safe at any point.
Enhancing safety of ‘Key Workers’
“Security & fire safety personnel can play a vital role at this time of national challenge. People working in these sectors who are essential to national infrastructure are ‘Key Workers’ for the purposes of the Government’s guidance on COVID-19,” said James Brokenshire, Minister of State for Security at the UK Home Office.
