FSL, the expert in fire suppression system manufacturing and service provision, has announced the appointment of Kim Williams as its new regional sales manager for the Middle East.

Using his extensive knowledge of the region, Williams is responsible for generating new business and increasing the profile of the company within a variety of industry sectors. His wealth of product and technical expertise is already proving to be a valuable asset as he promotes the unique advantages of working with FSL.

Williams spent the first 18 years of his career at ICI in a number of operational, technical and sales roles. This period included four years in the Middle East and Turkey, where he gained an excellent understanding of the region and built up a vast network of contacts. He entered the life safety industry in 2000, when he joined Apollo Fire Detectors, spending 13 years as its international sales manager with responsibility for the Arabian Gulf, India and Australasia. In 2006 he used this experience to gain a Post Graduate Certificate in Management from Southampton University’s School of Management.

Determined to surpass his impressive achievements in his new role, Williams stated, ‘I’ve seen at close hand what the life safety sector has to offer in terms of fire suppression systems and I firmly believe that FSL operates at the cutting edge of product development and service provision – both of which are considered vital to business success in the Middle East. I’m delighted to be joining the company at a time when it is successfully establishing itself as one of the industry’s most respected names, thanks to its diverse portfolio of inert and chemical gas based solutions.’

The appointment of Williams is the latest in a range of activities from FSL, which was launched in early 2013. Backed by a long-standing international specialist company, FSL aims to set itself apart from competitors in gaseous suppression systems by providing a more flexible, personal service and a higher level of customer care.

Welcoming him on board, Dave Adkins, FSL’s managing director, commented, ‘Being in a position where we are able to enhance our already excellent sales team with someone of Kim’s calibre is an indicator of our progress and determination to become the number one choice for fire suppression solutions. The Middle East offers huge opportunities for us to achieve our strategic objectives and I’m convinced that the drive, enthusiasm and ambition that Kim possesses will reap massive rewards.’
