Rescue Squad 741 was dispatched to the outer-loop of interstate 495 between Old Georgetown & Bradley Boulevard for the collision with one overturned. On arrival, it was determined that the vehicle was upright but had come to rest this way after flipping 3 times, with two occupants in the front driver and passenger seats. RS741 positioned to use the Amkus tools on both sides of the rig, allowing both firefighters to have a spreader and cutter each on their side.

Simultaneously, the rear doors were opened to allow EMS crews to get in and start patient assessment, then from there it was front door, windshield and roof all removed to gain the absolute best access to the patients in a mangled car. With both firefighters working together and having a wide arrangement of Amkus tools, this operation went very smoothly, and fast.

People involved in providing assistance to incident: Technician Kevin Kane, Capt. Robert James, Firefighter 3 Jeremy Hawkins, Firefighter 3 John McGowan.
