A conference specifically designed for credit unions serving firefighter credit unions is scheduled for October 5-8, 2005 in San Diego, CA at The Hilton San Diego Resort. This is the fifth annual meeting of its type where representatives of firefighter credit unions can discuss amongst themselves the unique challenges specific to their credits unions.

The conference management firms of Support Processes Corp. and William Rogers and Associates, Inc. are the conference presenters. Seven companies have signed on as corporate sponsors. More than 20 firefighter credit unions have participated in past conferences.

A key aspect of this meeting is the focus on structured roundtable discussions among the attendees from the firefighter credit union community. Participants will also have the opportunity to sit in on breakout sessions covering community charter conversions, security issues, branding of credit union services, partnering with vendors and other credit unions, successful lending programs of other firefighter credit unions, future technology with 24/7 service capabilities and more.

Moderators for the year's program include representatives from Allied Solutions, Inc., CU Business Capital, CastleGarde, Co-Op Financial Services, Leval9.com, CUNA Mutual Group and Symitar Systems.

With the conference being held in San Diego, it won't be all work and no play. Tours, poolside receptions, a golf tournament and a bay cruise are all available to conference participants. Conference manager, Bill Rogers, said, "We have received exceptionally favorable comments from participants. Like all credit unions with a common bond, they learn from each other. We could probably present a program with no speakers and still have a very successful conference."

For more information along with this year's program agenda, photos from previous conferences, a list of credit unions attending past conferences, registration information and more is available on the Internet at http://www.firefighterCUconf.com.
