| The ONESuit® Pro meets all standards for safety, ergonomics and cost-effectiveness |
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics has declared that the ONESuit® Pro chemical protective hazmat suit has been accepted onto the Firebuy chemical protective clothing framework agreement after an extensive qualification process.
Firebuy is the UK government’s Professional Buying Organisation (PBO) for fire, risk and safety products. Firebuy acts as a centralised procurement body to ensure that only high-quality, cost-effective products and services are used by national fire and rescue authorities. The ONESuit® Pro met all standards for safety, ergonomics and cost-effectiveness. Saint-Gobain’s ONESuit® Pro is marketed as the ONESuit® PPS in the UK.
The Firebuy contract for the ONESuit® Pro was awarded to Professional Protection Systems Ltd. (PPS) under the chemical protective/gas tight suit category. A leader in advanced protection technology, PPS is the authorised supplier of Saint-Gobain’s ONESuit® Pro in the UK.
The ONESuit® Pro had to overcome a rigorous evaluation to ensure the product met the specific needs of the fire and rescue authorities in terms of functional performance and ergonomics. This process includes assessment of product features, review of certificates proving regulatory compliance and full field trials. With the highest level of certification recognised within the EU and Asia - EN 943-1 and EN 943-2 - the ONESuit® Pro version is proven to protect against liquid and gaseous chemicals. Further, its lightweight, single-skin design allows for maximum user comfort.
PPS also met Firebuy’s standards for economic, financial and technical capacity, another requirement for addition to the organisation’s frameworks agreement.
