Fire & Safety Specialists (FSS), a globally renowned company in fire suppression and safety equipment services, has added the new Amerex Z-Series high performance fire extinguisher to its range of fire suppression equipment.

Amerex Z-Series fire extinguisher

The new Amerex Z-Series features a proprietary, zinc-enriched coating, which resists corrosion for up to 12 years in severely salt-contaminated environments, resulting in improved reliability and minimal repair and maintenance costs over time.

The Amerex Z-Series fire extinguisher is recommended for use on sites with an elevated fire risk, such as heavy industrial, manufacturing, mining or processing sites, or anywhere else that chemical or corrosive-intensive work takes place.

Certified for firefighting operations

Chad Meaux, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Fire & Safety Specialists (FSS), stated “The new Amerex Z-Series product line is verified by UL, the international organization in testing, inspection, certification, auditing and validation, to withstand 12 years of simulated severe corrosion.”

Chad adds, “UL verification is an objective, science-based assessment that confirms the accuracy of marketing claims. Each unit displays the UL Verify Mark, the single most accepted certification mark in the United States, and we offer customers an industry-renowned 12-year warranty against corrosion on these units.

Available in compliance flow handheld units, FSS currently stocks the following ABC and PK models: 714, 715, 717, and 718.
