The event served as a useful platform for FIA member companies to present and display a mixture of new products and ideas
The products discussed at the New Technology Day Seminar covered a wide range of fire protection products

The day was open to FIA members, non FIA members and anyone with an interest in Fire Protection to attend a wide selection of seminars.

The FIA is pleased to announce that its first New Technology Seminar Day was a success. The event took place on February 3rd at the FIA HQ in Hampton and saw the meeting rooms transform into a vibrant learning environment. The event served as a useful platform for FIA member companies to present and display a mixture of new products and ideas.

The day was open to FIA members, non FIA members and anyone with an interest in Fire Protection to attend a wide selection of seminars. General Manager, Martin Duggan said, "It was great to see the facilities in Hampton being used and providing something new to our members being the first New Technology Day, we are delighted with the response."

The idea for the event came about as a result of a member asking the FIA how we could assist in promoting a new product which sparked ideas within the Secretariat. It was decided that the FIA HQ should be made available as a networking and product showcasing opportunity for the fire industry.

C.E.O. Peccater Safety Products Ltd, Jason Perrins told the FIA, "We went into the New Technology Day hoping that it would generate some interest and enquiries for our product, which is very much distinct from "traditional" FIA fare. I can certainly report that interest and useful feedback exceeded our expectations and the product was extremely well received. I have already signed up for any future New Technology days."

Commenting on the day, Michael Gregg, sales manager said, "We've had very positive feedback; it's proved to be very interesting and a great networking opportunity. The attendees said that they would look to attend another New Technology Seminar Day in the future." The products on show covered a wide range of fire protection products and were of interest to companies involved in Fire Detection & Alarm, Portable Fire Extinguishers, Fire Risk Assessments, and Water mist & sprinkler systems.
