Registration deadline for FHETS is approaching

It's almost here! The 2009 FIREHOUSE Software Education and Training Seminar (FHETS), to be held October 13th - 16th at the Disney Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida is approaching quickly.

We would like to take this time to give you some helpful information for this year's conference.

Hotel reservations

If you have not made your hotel reservations, please do so as soon as possible. Hotel reservations must be made before September 22nd to receive the discounted rate of $129/night. After September 22nd, you may be subject to paying the going hotel rate. The hotel provides internet connection in the guest rooms for $7.95 per 24-hour period.

  • Deadline for hotel registration at the reduced conference rate: September 22, 2009
  • Deadline for FHETS registration: October 1, 2009

Seminar schedule

Check-in for FHETS and a welcoming reception will be on October 13th. Check-in will begin at 2:00pm, followed by a Regional Users Group meeting at 4:30pm. The Regional Users Group meeting is a great time to meet people within your sales representative's sales district along with people in or near your state municipality. The welcome reception will be from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Breakfast will be served on the 14th beginning at 7am, followed by the keynote speaker address at 8am. Breakfast, lunch, and between class beverages will be provided to the attendees during the three days. The last class will conclude at 5pm on the 16th.

This year's classes are structured for FH users, FH administrators and FH IT/network administrative staff. We have several new classes to go with returning classes being offered this year.

Seminar dress code

  • Business casual for classes i.e. khaki's, polo's, or nice jeans
  • Business casual for reception

Transportation

  • Airport (Orlando International Airport) to Disney - please click here to sign up for the shuttle if you have not already done so (we recommend booking the shuttle as soon as possible)

Parking

  • There is free parking at the hotel
  • Please check with individual theme parks for parking information
  • Parking available - anytime

Recommended items to bring

  • Laptop with database installed
  • Have a demo database or your department's database installed on the computer prior to arriving
  • Contact technical support if you need assistance
  • Money for dinner as only breakfast and lunch will be provided for those attending the conference (guests are not included in the conference-provided meals)
