For companies and insurers, the storage of hazardous goods is often a "hot" matter in both senses of the word when it comes to fire protection and must be considered individually in each case.

FeuerTrutz 2023

At the international FeuerTrutz trade fair in Nuremberg from June 21 to 22, 2023, WAGNER Group GmbH will be presenting a specific, VdS-tested solution for a high-bay warehouse belonging to KETTLER Alu-Rad GmbH.

Other trade fair highlights at stand 317 in hall 4A include the OxyReduct ® cabin, in which interested parties can experience fire behavior in an oxygen-reduced atmosphere on site, and the Visu LAN ® hazard management system based on WinGuard.

Fire protection for the storage of lithium-ion batteries

WAGNER implemented a unique, VdS-tested fire protection solution for the fully automated high-bay warehouse

In terms of fire protection, storing lithium-ion batteries as a hazardous material is extremely demanding. There is no standard solution for this. WAGNER implemented a unique, VdS-tested fire protection solution for the fully automated high-bay warehouse of KETTLER Alu-Rad GmbH, in which up to 50,000 e-bikes are packed ready for shipping, and stored with installed batteries.

The individual solution consisting of the OxyReduct ® oxygen reduction system and the certified TITANUS ® early fire detection system was developed based on the risk analysis of the protected area and in combination with the individually defined protection goals and extensive fire tests.

TITANUS ® aspirating smoke detectors

TITANUS ® aspirating smoke detectors form the basis of every individual, holistic fire protection solution at WAGNER and detect fires at a very early stage so that countermeasures can be initiated directly.

In the event of thermal runaway of a battery, the solution consisting of early fire detection and oxygen reduction protects the other stored e-bikes from fire damage. Chain reactions are avoided and delivery capability is maintained.

The lighter test: Experience OxyReduct ® live

WAGNER offers preventive fire protection solutions for many areas of application like fully automated logistics

Oxygen reduction is an optimal fire protection solution for defined protection areas because, in an oxygen-reduced atmosphere, fire cannot spread under defined conditions. This can be experienced live at FeuerTrutz in the OxyReduct ® cabin on the WAGNER stand. In the cabin, the oxygen content is kept at a controlled, reduced level.

A lighter flame cannot be generated in this atmosphere. WAGNER offers this preventive fire protection solution for many areas of application, such as in fully automated logistics, but also in data centers or for the storage of hazardous goods.

State-of-the-art hazard management

In a dangerous situation such as a fire, it is important to keep an overview and react appropriately as quickly as possible.

A range of protective measures, security systems, and control mechanisms must be taken into account for company security.

WinGuard

WinGuard is a highly integrated hazard management system that supports a holistic security concept

To ensure that the respective solutions are not isolated, the German sales company WAGNER Deutschland GmbH offers WinGuard, a highly integrated hazard management system that supports a holistic security concept and can be flexibly adapted to the respective system environment.

Based on WinGuard, the system integrates the entire building and hazard management regardless of the manufacturer, collects events from various security and information systems, and visualizes them on a uniform user interface.

Advancis

In addition to the fire protection experts from WAGNER, WAGNER Deutschland GmbH's partner Advancis will also be on-site at booth 317 in hall 4A and will present the latest version of the WinGuard hazard management software, X5.

Visitors can get to know the new user interface and gain an insight into how the system works.
