Federal Signal Corporation, a leader in environmental, safety and transportation solutions, has announced that Charles F. Avery, Jr. has been appointed to the position of Vice President, Information Technology and Controller effective from March 22, 2010. Mr. Avery will report directly to Mr. William Barker, Chief Financial Officer of the Company. In addition to serving as the Company's Principal Accounting Officer, Mr. Avery will have to enterprise-wide responsibility for information technology.
"Chip's background and experience make him an excellent fit for this position," said Mr. Barker. "Chip has been a key part of the Company's leadership team during his tenure as Group Vice President, Finance for the Environmental Solutions Group (ESG), and he played a lead role in the implementation of Oracle's JD Edwards Enterprise One system at ESG."
Mr. Avery joined Federal Signal in 2005 as the Group Vice President, Finance for the Environmental Solutions Group. Mr. Avery holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Notre Dame and Bachelor of Science Degrees from Ferris State College.
