E-Semble and CAE are the sponsors of VictimBase project. This project is to develop a standardized victim template and an online disaster victim database.

Together with Professor Michel Debacker, research director of the EMDM Academy, and Jana Lee Tryan from CAE Canada, Wiljan van Norel led the First International VictimBase Workshop. This workshop was organized in Novara, Italy on May 24th. Experts from Belgium, Sweden, The Netherlands and Italy participated in the discussions about the victim data template. The meeting was broadcasted online allowing participants from all over the world to join the discussion.

The VictimBase project is a project from the EMDM Academy that has the objective to develop a standardized victim template and an on-line disaster victim database (VictimBase).
