University of Nottingham gave a demonstration for industrial microwave processing
ProWave microwave processing system is a result of partnership between e2v and Nottingham University

Business Secretary, Vince Cable, has visited the University of Nottingham as part of the government’s on-going commitment to supporting innovation and business engagement with academia. The tour provided Mr Cable with an opportunity to see the University’s technology demonstration for industrial microwave processing and meet with Ewan Livingstone, e2v’s general manager for ProWave Industrial processing systems.

Business Secretary Vince Cable said: "Collaboration between universities and industry is a key element of the Government's growth strategy, and it's been very encouraging to see this in action at the University of Nottingham. The partnerships it has formed with business, including e2v, show that there are lots of exciting technologies being developed in our universities, with huge commercial potential."

e2v’s ProWave microwave processing system is the result of a technology partnership between e2v and the University, also supported through the regional growth fund award. The team focuses on the commercialisation of innovative technologies that harness the benefits of microwave processing for use in a wide range of bulk material processing industries.
