Branchville Fire Department's E811B Responds To Vehicle Collision

E811B responded to a vehicle fire in the interior compartment of a car. The fire was extinguished quickly and the engine returned to service. Later in the night, both Engine and Ambulance responded to a vehicle collision on I95 SB. Neither incident caused any injuries.  

Branchville Fire Department's E811B Responds To Smoke Incident And Vehicle Collision

E811B ran as the first due engine on a stove broiler fire in Company 14’s area. Crews arrived on the scene to light smoke evident from a terrace-level apartment. A stove fire was quickly extinguished with no extension. Later in the night, E811B and A811 responded to a vehicle collision that was upgraded to a vehicle into a building en-route. One patient was transported to an area trauma center.

Branchville Fire Department Attends An Evening Training Program

The Branchville night crew participated in some evening Fire and EMS training to stay up to date on their knowledge and skills.  

Branchville Fire Department's Engine 111 Responds To Midday Vehicle Fire On I95 NB

At 1207 hours, a call was dispatched for a vehicle fire on I95 NB. Engine 111 was in the area and requested to be added to the call. Engine 111 was the first unit to arrive on the scene and quickly extinguished the fire. No people were injured.

Branchville Fire Department Members Attend The 2019 MSFA Convention In Ocean City

Branchville Fire Department's E811 Responds To Box Alarm

E811 responded as the 2nd due engine to a box alarm with reported entrapment at an apartment complex in Langley Park, MD. Upon arrival, E811 pulled a 400′ backup line and checked for extension from an exterior fire into the structure. E811 returned to service.

Branchville Fire Department's E113 Responds To Working Building Fire In Beltsville

On March 12th, 2019, E113 was alerted third due for the report of a building on fire at the corner of Baltimore Ave and Prince George’s Ave in Beltsville. First arriving companies reported heavy fire from a commercial auto shop. Units knocked the fire down from the exterior before moving the interior to mop up. E113 operated for approximately 2 hours before returning to service.

Groveland Firefighter Michael Neenan Graduates From Massachusetts Firefighting Academy

Interim Fire Chief Richard York is pleased to announce that Michael Neenan graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy last week. Firefighter Neenan graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy’s Call/Volunteer Recruit Firefighting Training program Class 74. He was recognized along with 23 other graduates during a ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 28 at Masconomet Regional Middle School in Boxford. A psychology researcher at the University of New Brunswick has received funding from the federal government for her research project focused on firefighters accessing care for trauma. Groveland Fire Department Debuts New Squad 1 Vehicle

Interim Fire Chief Richard York is pleased to announce that the Groveland Fire Department’s new Squad 1 vehicle is now in service. A 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe 4X4, the Squad 1 truck arrived in late December and is a registered Class V ambulance, operating at the Basic Life Support level. Firefighters will take Squad 1 to all medical calls, motor vehicle crashes, and other calls for service, as needed.
