“OK, off to the outdoor area!” is often heard during driver safety training in Obrigheim - and the participants from the Rhine-Neckar, Neckar-Odenwald and Heilbronn districts are only too happy to oblige.

However, before the practical element can begin, first comes the theory: instruction is provided by experts from the fire service and the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) and focuses on the fundamentals of driving safety along with the special features of off-road operations. With the testing of the off-road capabilities, the participants finally have the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned - with a lot of courage, even more fun and the conclusion that IVECO MAGIRUS vehicles complete with permanent all-wheel drive can actually get through everywhere.

Irrespective of the year of manufacture, our all-wheel vehicles provide a convincing case with the best possible handling characteristics - whereby the single-tyre models naturally had a clear advantage. As not all participating vehicles had similarly good characteristics, a towing service was at hand to quickly free up any vehicle which had got stuck.
