Cosalt's Technical Rescue Suit has won a prestigious Blue Light award
Technical Rescue Suit wins industry award
At the prestigious Company Clothing Awards held at the Park Lane Hotel, London, Cosalt Workwear won the highly sought-after Blue Light Award for the Cosalt Technical Rescue Suit.

The Blue Light Award recognises garment innovation that has contributed to the safety, comfort and protection of the exceptional individuals that make up our police, ambulance and fire and rescue services as they carry out their front line duties. The Technical Rescue Suit is already in use with a number of Fire & Rescue services with several others showing significant interest.

Cosalt's two-piece rescue suit system has a vast array of revolutionary concepts, which combine to create the most advanced garment of its type.

These features include:

  • Blood-borne pathogen protection to minimise the possibility of infection when dealing with accidents where the victim is bleeding.
  • A detachable liner system which when removed, allows the suit to conform to Wildland Fire Standards, providing reduced heat stress to the wearer.
  • Articulated front and back knee panels with Aramid knee patches and Kevlar pads make it ideal for use in situations such as road traffic collisions, and animal rescue which can involve crawling around on the ground.
  • A variety of differently-sized pockets around the jacket, with weather-proof openings and zip fastenings.

The award was presented by Jose Sanchez, Editor of Fire & Rescue Magazine, Alex Van Baalen for Company Clothing Magazine and Myleene Klass.

On the night, Cosalt Workwear were also shortlisted in the ‘Best Workwear Design' category for the licensed Stanley® range, as well as for the ‘Brian Hartnell Account Management Award' where Maggie Shaw was put forward by Babcock Rail.
