Connexion2 supply and manufacture the Identicom
Connexion2 supply Identicom to employers as part of fully managed solution called SoloProtect

The UK-based company, who has expanded into the European market this year, will exhibit their market-leading Identicom lone worker devices and its SkoloProtect service.

The SoloProtect solutions will be on show at the Safety and Health Expo 2014, held at ExCeL London between June 17 and 19 on Stand M2055, where senior staff will demonstrate how to use the Identicom device, as well as being on hand to answer questions and offer guidance on which device is most suitable for organisations and employees.

Guest speakers in the lone worker education area include some of the company’s highest-profile clients including Clare Shinton, Head of Safety at Travelodge Hotels, and Steve Payne, Health and Safety Officer of Domino’s Pizza Group. They will talk about the importance of lone worker safety within the workplace.

Robert Gathergood, Head of Access Network Implementation at BSkyB, will complete the line up at the premier three-day event. As well as guest speakers, Connexion2’s 6 x 4m stand will include its recently rebranded Mobile Workforce Management (MWM) product and staff will demonstrate the analysis and reporting functions of this management workforce tool.

Managing Director of Connexion2, Craig Swallow, said: "Changing working patterns and updated legislation continue to make lone worker safety a very important issue in every workplace.

"Our products, which are BS 8484 accredited, continue to be the market-leading as we remain focused on delivery of high quality, fit for purpose solutions. We are looking forward to showcasing our lone worker solutions at such a high profile event as this."

Connexion2 supply and manufacture the award-winning Identicom, a device which enables a worker to discreetly raise an alarm when experiencing verbal abuse, a physical attack or if they have fallen ill.

Through GSM (mobile phone) technology, highly-trained staff at a 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) can monitor and listen into the device, dialling the emergency services if necessary. GPS technology fitted into the device can also help locate a lone worker. New for 2014 will be 3G variants of the Identicom. The Series 9 Identicom is the world’s first 3G lone worker device.

All Identicoms also have a sensor which can detect and monitor a ‘Man Down’ situation if a lone worker slips, trips or falls and a temperature sensor for workers operating alone in high or low temperature environments.

The company supply Identicom to employers as part of a fully managed solution called SoloProtect. The fully inclusive service supports the device and includes SIM Card & Network Usage, 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre Monitoring, monthly reporting and an in-house, UK-based Customer Support team.

Connexion2, which was set up in 2003, now has in excess of 120,000 Identicom devices in circulation around the world.

The company has recently established an office in Roermond, the Netherlands, launching its SoloProtect service into the Dutch and Belgian markets.

The 8 series Identicom device has previously won "Most Innovative Product of the Year” at the CIR Business Continuity Awards and the company is proud to manufacture and make its innovative device in Britain.

Identicom remains a cost-effective investment for businesses looking to protect lone workers. Connexion2's BS 8484 accreditation enables genuine 'Red Alert' situations to be escalated to the Police at a Priority level where appropriate.
