Con Fire’s automated phone system helps working media more quickly and easily reach the on-duty public information officer (PIO) 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Pushing timely information

Between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., the media line will direct to voicemail unless the on-call PIO is responding to an active incident. For overnight periods when there is no working incident requiring PIO presence, voicemails will be returned before 8 a.m. the next morning.

RSS feeds continue to be available for the information of interest to the media on Con Fire’s News Media Information webpage. RSS feeds are available to automatically push timely information including news releases, media advisories, and alerts direct to reporters' inboxes.
