As a supplier of lighting and warning equipment for the public safety organizations that serve communities, Code 3 will continue operations during this difficult time. There is an update on Code 3's status from ESG (ECCO Safety Group) President for Americas region, John Ducharme.

ESG and Code 3 recognize that many of the customers directly support first responders, as well as private and government agencies that are directly responsible for not only keeping everyone safe, but also for maintaining national infrastructure.

Equipment for critical infrastructure sectors

Code 3 and ESG are closely monitoring recommendations from the US CDC, as well as the WHO

The organization’s facilities manufacture equipment for police vehicles, fire trucks, ambulances, shuttle buses, school buses, transportation vehicles and infrastructure work trucks, which come under the CISA’s (U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Cyber Security and Infrastructure Security Agency) critical infrastructure sectors, including critical manufacturing, emergency services and transportation systems sectors. As a result, their facilities will remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic, until further notice.

Code 3 and ESG are closely monitoring recommendations from the US CDC, as well as the WHO, in order to ensure the safety of team members, their families, customers and partners. Currently, many functions at ESG are working remotely, but still committed to taking care of customers.

Enhanced safety measures at facilities

At the same time, they have implemented measures in both facilities - in Boise, Idaho and St. Louis, Missouri, in order to keep staff safe and secure. Extra procedures for cleaning and hygiene have been taken, as well as measures that allow the teams to practice ‘social distancing’, while in the workplace.

To assure continuity in products supply, ESG and Code 3 are working with suppliers, in order to maintain a consistent flow of raw material and components. They will continue to work diligently to maintain the products needed by customers, to serve these key support segments, during this difficult time. Their dedicated teams will continue to work to service their needs.
