City Technology is set to exhibit with Honeywell at one of the world’s largest oil and gas trade shows, The China International Petroleum and Petrochemical Technology Exhibition (CIPPE). The event is taking place at the New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing on 19-21 March (Stand 540, Hall 1).

City is the world’s leading supplier of gas sensors, producing 4.5 million sensors per annum – a large proportion of which are used to protect workers and assets in the oil and gas industry. CIPPE provides the opportunity to communicate the importance of choosing reliable and repeatable gas sensors in ensuring worker safety and reducing the cost of ownership of gas detection for oil and gas companies.

A full range of toxic and flammable gas sensors will be on show at Stand 540 in Hall W1, including City’s H2S and CH4 sensors which are commonly used in this environment.

Wilson Tan, Business Leader of City Technology in APAC, commented, “The oil and gas market is one of City’s most important and fastest growing end user markets thanks to strong energy demand and stricter health and safety regulations in high growth regions. CIPPE is a very important, high quality oil and gas event covering cutting edge technologies and market leading products. It provides an ideal platform to explain to the industry the crucial role that sensors play in gas detection and the overall safety of workers and to discuss new regulations which are affecting the industry. City’s gas sensors are designed to deliver the best possible stability and reliability and are able to meet the strictest gas detection requirements – an area which is seeing greater focus with the introduction of the new flammable gas detection standard GB15322 which will be effective in 2015.”
