Just after 9:00 am, CFS crews were alerted to reports of a structure fire on Pebbly Range Road, Tungkillo.

On arrival, crews found black smoke issuing from the house, which was predominantly made of wood. They worked quickly to contain the fire to half of the structure, however, the other half suffered extensive smoke damage.

Damages incurred

Four CFS trucks, along with a Bulk Water Carrier, were supported on scene by SAPOL and SA Ambulance. There are no reported injuries, and the sole occupant was able to evacuate safely.

Damages are estimated at approximately $100,000, and the cause is unknown at this stage, however, this will be investigated. The fire is contained, however, crews will be on the scene for some time to monitor and continue to extinguish.
