Fire Chief Michael Patterson and Police Chief Michael Kent are pleased to announce that the Burlington Police and Fire Departments will be among several first responder agencies throughout the region paying a special visit to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center of Burlington, on May 4, 2020, to show their appreciation to the hospital’s employees.

The Burlington Police and Fire Departments, which are organizing the event, will be among several neighboring police and fire departments, EMS and EMA departments and organizations throughout the region participating in the event. Boston MedFlight will also be participating.
First responder agencies will be staging at the Burlington Marriott parking lot. The timing of the rally is designed to cater to multiple shifts as well as the administrative staff of the hospital.

Public safety vehicles will be passing the main hospital entrance following the National Anthem
Boston Bruins National Anthem singer Todd Angilly will be singing the National Anthem at the hospital’s east lobby entrance.
Public safety vehicles will be passing the main hospital entrance following the National Anthem, and will then drive by the east lobby entrance and then continue around the outer ring road. Smaller vehicles will then drive by the Emergency Department entrance and then continue back out to the outer ring road.
First responders and hospital staff honored
Vehicles will conclude by driving past the rear loading dock of the hospital, which is in view of the ICU, before exiting onto Burlington Mall Road.
“Hospital workers, whether doctors, nurses, technicians or other staff, have been working tirelessly to take care of our communities since the beginning of this pandemic,” Burlington Fire Department Chief Patterson stated, adding “This event will be a great opportunity for first responders to show their support for them, and we look forward to a strong turnout.”
