The Fire Brigade of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden and the most populated area in Scandinavia, has ordered a new aerial platform.

Stockholm’s new unit will be a Bronto Skylift F37RLX, a 37-meter aerial ladder platform, which will bring versatility to the challenging firefighting scenarios in the urban area.

Features

The aerial is mounted onto a Scania P410 6×2*4 chassis and has a total weight of about 22,300 kg. The total length is just over 10 meters and there is no front overhang, which simplifies maneuvering in a city environment and improves visibility from the cabin.

Optional equipment includes, for example, various working, flashing, and search lights, an integrated stretcher carrier in the rescue cage, and a color video camera with image transmission on the control system displays. The control system is the latest Bronto5+ with touch screens and advanced remote service possibilities.

Delivery

The unit will be delivered to the Stockholm Fire Brigade at the beginning of 2022 and the deal will include a thorough operator training workshop by Bronto Skylift’s Swedish team located in Vallentuna.

The RLX range includes units equipped with working heights from 32 to 55 meters.
