UK rental company Smart Platform Rental Ltd adds two Bronto aerial work platforms with working heights of 35 and 38 meters to its rapidly expanding truck-mounted rental fleet. Both newcomers are mounted on an 18 ton, Euro VI compliant, Volvo chassis. The specifications both include secondary guarding, material winch and a built-in generator, as well as variable jacking for flexibility.

The S35EM features a 5-section telescopic boom and an articulated cage boom and it provides a maximum out reach of over 29 meters. The S35EM was chosen for its flexibility and ability to work directly off the back of the machine, which enhances the efficiency in set up. In addition to this, the ability to set the platform up in a more confined area, such as under structures also made this the obvious choice for Smart. The S38XDT was chosen for its class leading specification.

remote diagnostic system

“Bronto is a superior well-known brand and their build quality, customer care, service backup, dial-up system on board to detect and diagnose faults on the boom were the key. We would also like to thank Bronto for their time and patience when assisting in selecting our purchases. As relatively new comers to the larger truck sector, this was very much appreciated, Bronto as a manufacturer were a pleasure to deal with”, says Len Wright, Smart Platform Rental Ltd.

One feature enabled by advanced technology is the remote diagnostic system Bronto Compass

Both units have the latest Bronto 5+ control system with advanced features. One feature enabled by advanced technology is the remote diagnostic system Bronto Compass. It enables accurate, real-time problem solving even in difficult and unexpected situations. Faults and their causes can be rapidly identified, analyzed and corrected which helps to limit downtime and reduce unnecessary costs.

Fire appliance products

“Bronto Skylift’s build quality is known through their involvement in building emergency fire appliances and their access equipment uses the fundamentals of their fire appliance products. Their on-board diagnostic system enables a quick identification and rectification of issues round the clock."

"Their controls systems are standard throughout their ranges enabling ease of use for our operators and with the wireless remote-control boxes it enables the operator to set up the machine safely ensuring visibility around the machine”, says James Marchant, Smart Platform Rental Ltd.
