At the 97th Annual Convention hosted at Accokeek Volunteer Fire Department, three dedicated Branchville members were among those obtaining prestigious awards.

Branchville President Jeramie Jordan, Vice President John Gardiner, and Ladies Auxilary Secretary Terri Jordan were all recognized for their contribution to the Prince George’s County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association.

In The welfare of volunteerism

John Gardiner received the prestigious Rodney Lee Gilbert Memorial Award for his tireless work and dedication to the volunteer fire service in Prince George’s County. This award is considered the highest Prince George’s Volunteer Fire and Rescue Award that can be conferred on an individual, other than that of heroism.

It is awarded on a highly selective basis to a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to the future welfare of volunteerism within his/her company, Prince George’s County, and the State of Maryland. John Gardiner is a life member and a past president of the organization and currently acts in the capacity of Vice President.

Maintain the lead

Jeramie Jordan was sworn in as 2nd Vice President of the Prince George’s County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association. This is the first step towards the next generation of leadership within the volunteer fire service in Prince George’s County.

I look forward to working with every station in continuing our progress for many decades. We must all work together to better ourselves and maintain the highest standards to lead our organization into the future. This is only the beginning, and I challenge you to come along for the ride as we drive forward.”
