E811 was alerted to respond to a commercial structure fire in Company 12’s area on the 4400 block of Lehigh Road in College Park, right next to the University of Maryland campus.

E811 turned out with 4 and arrived as the first due engine. The working fire dispatch was called for shortly after first arriving units found fire showing from the ductwork on the roof of the structure. E811 went in line over a ladder to extinguish an HVAC unit on the roof and extension in the surrounding commercial unit. Units operated for approximately 2 hours before returning to service.
