A box alarm was dispatched for multiple reports of a house on fire in the 9300 block of 51st Avenue in the Hollywood neighborhood of Branchville first due. Engine 811 responded with 6 firefighters and arrived on the scene to find fire showing from the rear of the first floor and through the roof of a one-story wood frame house with a basement.
Engine 811’s crew made an interior attack on the fire and extinguished it alongside E812, who arrived after. The company remained on scene checking for extension, extinguishing hot spots, and assisting fire investigators before returning to service. There were no firefighter injuries on this incident, and all occupants of the home were able to be evacuated without incident.
