The Bonnieville Fire Department in Bonnieville, Kentucky recently added a new Toyne Pumper to its fleet, expanding its firefighting power. The department welcomed its first Toyne fire truck, in late November.

Pumper Features

Toyne manufactured Bonnieville’s custom pumper on a Freightliner M2 106, four-door chassis. The apparatus uses a Cummins ISL9 350 horsepower engine and is driven by an Allison 3000 EVS transmission. Designed for firefighting versatility, this Toyne Pumper boasts a Hale Qflo 1,250 gallon-per-minute pump and a 1,000-gallon UPF tank.

Bonnieville’s Toyne apparatus is also equipped with a Fire Research PumpBoss pressure governor and a FoamPro Class A foam system.

Versatility and value addition

This versatile pumper will be a valuable addition to Bonnieville’s fleet and a big help to all of the heroes serving their community through the department

Bonnieville is a small town located in central Kentucky. This pumper marks the fourth Toyne apparatus delivered to Kentucky in 2018, a sign of the company’s growing presence in the state.

This versatile pumper will be a valuable addition to Bonnieville’s fleet and a big help to all of the heroes serving their community through the department,” said Michael Schwabe, president and CEO of Toyne, Inc. “We are proud to be a part of their process, and to be trusted by an increasing number of Kentucky fire departments to provide quality apparatus.”

James Riddle of High Tech Rescue, a Shelbyville, Kentucky-based Toyne dealer, sold this pumper to the Bonnieville Fire Department.
