The Big Bear Professional Firefighters are hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Station 281, located at 41090 Big Bear Boulevard., Big Bear Lake, in the front parking lot.

Blood donation

The need for blood is constant and ongoing. Each donation of blood can save the lives of three people. Along with this blood drive, the Big Bear Fire Department (BBFD) Helicopter, H285, is in the final stages of preparing to carry blood and plasma products on the airship for use during transports.

This makes regionally, BBFD, and H285 the first fire department-based resources to house blood for patient care. Big Bear Fire Department and Mercy Air/Air Methods are very excited and proud to be able to provide the highest level of care to the citizens and visitors of the Big Bear Valley.

Incentives

All participating donors will receive a $10 Stater Bros. gift card and a fearless fighters t-shirt, while supplies last, in appreciation for their efforts.

Appointments are strongly recommended and masks are required.
