Markus Kock, long-time Managing Director of both WAGNER Rail GmbH and WAGNER Deutschland GmbH, will hand over his position at WAGNER Rail entirely to Bernhard Weindl at the start of the new financial year on April 1.

Bernhard Weindl moved from Knorr-Bremse SfS GmbH to the management of WAGNER Rail in October 2023; now the position is officially handed over from Markus Kock to Bernhard Weindl.

After leaving the management of WAGNER Rail, Markus Kock will in future focus with full commitment on the strategic development of the largest subsidiary, WAGNER Deutschland GmbH, of which he has been managing director since it was founded in 2020.

Further market development

Werner Wagner, Company Founder and Shareholder of the fire protection company - WAGNER, would like to thank WAGNER Rail for his many years of successful work, stating: "Mr. Kock has been Managing Director of WAGNER Rail since it was founded in 2016 and, together with his management colleagues Dr. Peter Stahl and Dr. Markus Müller, has done an excellent job in the fire protection for rail vehicles market segment, which is so important to us." 

He adds, "For our subsidiary, the 2023/24 financial year is by far the most successful since its inception. We are very proud of this development. Mr. Kock has mastered many challenges in recent years, commuted between companies and locations and ultimately played a major role in ensuring that WAGNER Rail is excellently positioned for the future. I would like to thank him very much for his successful commitment in this area." 

Werner Wagner continues, "We also continue to be very successful in our core market of Germany. I am therefore delighted that Mr. Kock can now devote himself fully to further market development in Germany. I wish him – and his successor Mr. Weindl at WAGNER Rail – continued success and enthusiasm for the cross-industry important topic of fire protection."
