Pierce has received an order for five additional Arrow XT vehicles
from the Bellevue Fire Department

Arrow XT pumpers are equipped with a 500-gallon water tank, 1750-gpm water pump, husky 12 foam system, internal ladder storage, roll-up compartment doors and much more.

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh Corporation company, announced that it has received an order for five Pierce Arrow XT pumpers from the Bellevue Fire Department in Bellevue, Wash. The vehicles will be placed into service in mid 2011. The department already has two Arrow XT pumpers in its existing fleet.

"Adding these five Pierce pumpers to our fleet will make seven of our nine first-line pumpers Pierce. This serves to standardize operations, training maintenance procedures and overall efficiency."

Each of the five Arrow XT pumpers is equipped with a 500-gallon water tank, 1750-gpm water pump, Husky 12 foam system, internal ladder storage, roll-up compartment doors and an LED light package, including warning and step lights. The cab features seating for six firefighters, frontal impact and side roll protection systems, EMS cabinets, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a dual module vehicle data recorder.

The Bellevue Fire Department Suppression and Rescue Division protects a population of 141,000 and a service area of more than 37 square miles. The department has 246 total employees, of which 230 are uniformed. Its services include full fire protection, EMS, ALS, BLS, fire prevention, investigation, HazMat and technical rescue.
