Fire Safety & Protection, LLC (“FSP”), a portfolio company of Sunny River Management, LLC (“SRM”), is pleased to announce the acquisition of Georgian Bay Fire & Safety, Ltd. (“Georgian Bay”), one of Ontario’s largest life safety and property protection companies. Georgian Bay is known throughout the region for its high level of customer service and technical expertise.

The acquisition of Georgian Bay is an exciting addition to the Fire Safety & Protection platform. Fire Safety & Protection, based in Atlanta, GA, is an emerging high-growth fire & life safety business that is building a strong presence in the U.S and Canada. FSP seeks to grow through partnering with like-minded small businesses across the U.S and Canada.

Georgian Bay is FSP’s fifth acquisition in the last twelve months. FSP was founded by Sunny River Management, LLC (SRM), a private family investment firm based in Atlanta, GA. SRM focuses on taking a long-term view in building great mid-sized businesses in highly desirable industries, with a focus on industries that impact safety and human well-being.

customer service

Georgian Bay customers, suppliers, and employees should expect the same unwavering commitment to customer service, quality, and integrity they have come to expect from Georgian Bay over the past half-century. Tim McKay will remain with Georgian Bay to oversee continued growth under new ownership. The FSP and Georgian Bay management teams share the same views regarding customer service and look forward to continuing and growing customer relationships throughout Ontario and beyond.

The acquisition of Georgian Bay is an exciting addition to FSP given Georgian Bay’s long-established presence throughout Ontario, reputation for customer service, and seasoned leadership that brings a wealth of technical expertise. Georgian Bay is poised to continue growing and further expands FSP’s presence in Ontario”, explains Curt Bagnall, CEO of FSP. “Our focus will continue to be on the customer, employee training, and investing in our capabilities, with a shared goal of continued growth and industry-leading service.”
