The Planai in Schladming is famous for the legendary 4.6 kilometer FIS downhill race from the Planai summit to the valley, which is crowned by the famous Planai finishing slope. Directly at the base station of the Planai cable car is the newly built Ski Lounge "FINALE". A high-pressure water mist (HPWM) system was installed to protect the guests and buildings.
The previous Ski Lounge was built in 2010 and was equipped with an AQUASYS HPWM system from the very beginning. Due to the very good cooperation, the customer again trusted in the competence of AQUASYS, who carried out the entire planning, installation and commissioning, also for the new building.
customer-side detection
The active fire protection should ensure not only the safety of the visitors but also the continuous operation of the cable car running directly above the Ski Lounge. An open system with customer-side detection is used in the bar. Open side wall nozzles are installed in the modern designed guest room.
The piping system running directly under the ski slope is filled with water up to the area valves. In case of fire, the detection controls the corresponding valve and releases the water flow to all nozzles in the area. The drop in pressure automatically starts the pumps, which ensures efficient fire fighting.
