Following popular demand, Apollo Fire Detectors will be recommencing supply of their XP95 Three Channel Input / Output Module. The XP95 Three Channel Input / Output Module (55000-588APO) was removed from the product portfolio in 2018 after the introduction of the Intelligent Interface range.

After receiving feedback from customers, Apollo has taken the decision to reintroduce the product to their sales portfolio with immediate effect. The product offers the benefit of using a single address for three individually - monitored inputs and three outputs, as well as cost savings compared to using a combination of single or twin Input / Output Modules, making it the perfect solution for the following applications:

  • Lift bank control
  • Fire door control
  • Shop unit monitoring
  • Smoke damper control

Air Handling Units

This product is an ideal solution to high complexity buildings that demand comprehensive systems to operate such as shopping centers and hospitals. Hospitals make use of multiple control systems such as, Access Controlled Doors and Air Handling Units. It is crucial that these systems integrate with the fire system and that they work cooperatively. The Three Channel I/O Module not only facilitates this integration but also offers additional space on the panel, maximizing the amount of outputs available in a given area.

The reintroduction of the 3 channel I/O will allow us to carry out repairs and 10-year product life cycle changes"

Guy Briscoe, Director at Knox Fire commented, “The reintroduction of the 3 channel I/O is welcomed by Knox Fire. This product not only has the advantage of offering more channels on a single device compared to many of the competitor products but also critically the legacy systems can continue to be supported.”

product life cycle changes

“The reintroduction of the 3 channel I/O will allow us to carry out repairs and 10-year product life cycle changes without the disruption of reprogramming the system for different devices. Business continuity is key to our critical infrastructure customers in the data center, hospital and power generation sectors who will be pleased to see the 3 channel I/O return to the Apollo product line”

Mark Wild, Fire Technical at EU Fire and Security commented, “Historically, we used to specify the 3 channel I/O for aspirating systems, 1 channel for fire, one for fault monitoring and the 3rd monitoring the PSU for fault, instantly the price of the job went up having to allow for a twin and a single. Our customers initially seemed very pleased by its return, numerous calls asking for prices and availability within hours of the news of the relaunch!”
