Barham and Charing crematoriums

Barham crematorium, once part of Lord Kitchens Broome Park’s estate in the UK, is a beautiful and serene place offering peace and tranquility. It features a chapel built in the finest traditional way, which is also surrounded by beautiful gardens and boasts amazing views across the Elham Valley and Kent region of the United Kingdom. Opened in 1956 and privately owned, the Barham crematorium aims to provide an exemplary level of service.

APE Fire & Security were contracted to work on this pair of working crematorium buildings

Charing crematorium is about half an hour away from Barham and located close to the village of Charing. It was opened in 1936 and is set in 18 acres of woodland offering beautiful and tranquil views. The chapel on site also provides traditional and multi-faith funeral services.

Full fire alarm system installation

APE Fire & Security were contracted to work on this pair of working crematorium buildings during a very sensitive and busy period of the year. For this job, all the fire safety equipment was to be installed out of hours to avoid any disruption, which meant working during weekends and ensuring nothing was left unfinished or posed a hazard.

For this to happen, APE Fire & Security carried out thorough planning in order to not disturb the working of either crematorium. For this project, the company completed the installation of the full fire alarm system, in out of hours and over several weekends.
