Removable/Washable—The chinstraps are easily removed and replaced so they can be cleaned with other fire helmet soft goods. Compliant—The chinstraps are certified to NFPA 1971-2018 and NFPA 1951-2013 to work on MSA Cairns® Fire Helmets. Shell Release System (SRS)—The chinstraps maintain the benefit of the Shell Release System (SRS) on the helmets that offer this feature. Retrofit/Upgrade—The new chinstraps are easily retrofittable to MSA Cairns Fire Helmets currently in service (manufactured on or before December 2019). Standard Offering—The NEW Standard on ALL MSA Cairns Helmets manufactured after January 2, 2020. Ease of Ordering—With the implementation of the new chinstraps, ONLY chinstraps with Quick Release Buckle (QRB) and Postman’s Slide (PS) will be offered.
