UL's Tactical Consideration - Tackling Attic Fires: The ''Eave Attack''
Attic fires present many challenges such as: limited access, lots of fuel, and a high probability of ventilation-limited conditions. The “Eave Attack” is a tactic which involves using the openings created by the natural ventilation points in the attic. Wetting/cooling the surface of the fuel is essential for fire control.
