UL: Limitations Of Thermal Imagers: Structural Stability

UL FSRI’s Keith Stakes explains one of the limitations of thermal imaging cameras - structural stability. Thermal imaging cameras are an important piece of technology used by firefighters to assist in search and rescue operations and also allow the ability to locate and monitor fire behavior within the structure. Like with any technology, thermal imagers have their own limitations. To be most effective, firefighters must equally aware of the applicable uses and benefits to these cameras as well as the short comings.
