Annual Spring Conference For NFCC Individual Members

Annual Spring Conference for senior pioneers is taking place on the 22nd and 23rd of April at the Leicester Marriott. NFCC is delighted to be joined by a fantastic line-up of speakers over the two days as follows:

  • Jaee Samant, Director General of Public Safety at the Home Office
  • Zoe Wilkinson, Deputy Director of Fire Safety at the Home Office talking to senior pioneers about Minimum Service Levels
  • Sal Naseem, Policing and Inclusive Culture Expert
  • Shadow Fire Minister Alex Norris MP
  • HMI Andy Cooke talking about the latest State of Fire report and HMICFRS priorities

The conference will follow the usual format beginning with refreshments and networking at 11.30 on the 22nd. NFCC is delighted to confirm that at the networking dinner on the evening of the 22nd, they will be celebrating the success of everything apprenticeships with national apprenticeship awards

National Apprenticeship Awards 2024

NFCC is delighted to be hosting the National Fire & Rescue Apprenticeship Awards at Members Spring Conference dinner on 22nd April. The awards recognize and celebrate the achievements and contributions of apprentices, employers, and training providers.

There are 6 awards that users can nominate for as follows:

  • Apprentice of the Year:

– Non-Operational Apprentice of the Year

– Operational Apprentice of the Year

  • Apprenticeship Provider of the Year: Recognising outstanding data and overall performance, Innovative Training Delivery
  • Excellence in Apprenticeship Support: Recognising an outstanding team or individual committed to providing the best support for their apprentices.
  • Inclusion Champion Award: Individuals recognized for their commitment to improving Diversity, Culture, and Inclusion in Fire Sector Apprenticeships
  • Outstanding Apprenticeship Project: Projects that have made a significant impact on the community, sustainability or charity
  • Apprenticeship Champion Award: The nomination will come from a colleague or contact who recognizes their ‘champion’ credentials. The nominator will be required to write a short application, explaining why they think the individual is an ‘Apprenticeship Champion’.

The judges are looking for strong advocates of apprenticeships who showcase how they proactively go beyond their normal duties to promote apprenticeships as an excellent career route and a way to boost business success.
