China International Emergency Management Exhibition 2024 Safety First, Prevention First". During the forum, the first meeting of the Council of the Belt and Road International Cooperation Mechanism for Natural Disaster Prevention and Emergency Management was held, and the establishment of the cooperation mechanism was officially announced.
31 emergency management departments and international organizations joined. 
Wang Xiangxi, Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Management, was elected as the first Chairman of the Council, Xu Jiaai, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Management, was elected as Secretary-General, and Zheng Guoguang, former Secretary-General of the National Disaster Reduction Committee, was elected as Chairman of the Advisory Committee.
